Diet & Feeding Guide
The L134 Leopard Frog Pleco is an omnivore that prefers a protein-rich diet compared to many other plecos. While it may rasp on wood occasionally, it does not rely on it for nutrition. Instead, it thrives on a varied diet including high-protein pellets, meaty foods, and some vegetables.
Primary Diet
- Protein-Based Sinking Pellets: Staple food for daily nutrition.
- Frozen & Live Foods: Enjoys bloodworms, brine shrimp, mysis shrimp, and insect larvae.
Supplemental Foods
- Vegetables: Occasionally accepts soft veggies like zucchini and cucumber.
- Algae Wafers: May nibble but prefers meaty foods overall.
- Wood: Not essential, but may graze lightly for texture or fiber.
Feeding Tips:
- Feed at night or when tank is dimly lit, as L134s are more active in low light.
- Remove uneaten food to maintain water quality.

Dead on Arrival (DOA) Policy
In the rare case that your livestock arrives dead, we offer a fair and standard DOA policy.
To qualify for a credit, you must contact us within 2 hours of delivery. Claims made after this period will not be accepted.
When reporting a DOA, please provide a video and three clear photos of the fish in its unopened, sealed bag as originally packaged. Clear images are required for processing your claim.
Once approved, we will issue a credit for the fish (excluding shipping) toward a future purchase. If you wish to receive a replacement, shipping costs must be covered again, or we can hold the credit for a later order.
